PSG was heading out as the game against Atalanta headed into injury time, but substitute Mbappe changed the game when he was introduced, and eventually, they were able to break a resilient Atalanta defense with Marquinhos hitting in from close range in the 90th minute. Atalanta was looking to hold on until extra time, but some great play saw Mpabbe providing the assist for the winner in the 93rd minute to see them through. Heartbreaking for Atalanta to head out in such away.
Leipzig, now without their main striker Werner as he left to go to Chelsea, surprised many as they were able to score two past an Atletico Madrid team that doesn’t concede many. Without Timo up top, others stepped up and they shouldn’t be underestimated heading into a one-off game where anything can happen. They will certainly be underdogs, but they have already overachieved in this competition, and while there is a chance to reach a final, the pressure isn’t on them.
The pressure is on Thomas Tuchel and his team. The manager could find his job on the line, should they not dispatch Leipzig. The Champions League is seen as a must-win for PSG and their fans, and normally this is a match that they should comfortably win, but there’s so much on the line that it adds to the nervousness of it all. They will be nervous, and I’m sure Leipzig will have their chances in the game, especially as PSG’s regular goalkeeper Navas has been ruled out due to an injury suffered in the previous game.

PREDICTION: PSG & Over 2.5 goals – Odds: 2.55
It’s a simple prediction that should land. Both teams don’t play defensively, and it should be a very open, end to end game.
The quality will come from Neymar and Mbappe, and with that will bring goals. Leipzig has a lot of attacking threat and can score, but PSG will be fully focused after the scare in the quarter-finals and should go through. If the superstars show up for PSG, it could even be a very comfortable night.
Leipzig’s young defender Upamencano had an amazing game against Atletico, and if he can repeat it against PSG, they could find it tough.
It all depends on how badly PSG wants it, and I believe they want it very badly after their quarter-final display. This is their biggest opportunity they’re going to get to reach the Champions League final, and they should pass the test.
The prediction of PSG & Over 2.5 goals has landed more often than not over the last season or two, and while it’s particularly down to this team being far too strong for other Ligue 1 teams, they’ve shown time and time¹ again that they can produce in the European competition as well.
The odds are staggering in my own opinion, as they should have too much for Leipzig going forward, and with Leipzig losing their main provider over the years, it should be comfortable for the French giants.
