The Premier League is finally coming to a close this weekend and it’s all to play for. Relegation candidates Aston Villa, Watford, and Bournemouth have their futures on the line as their Premier League survival boils down to the final day.

Further up the table Leicester, Chelsea, and Manchester United will battle it out for the remaining two Champions League spots. Leicester and Manchester will come face to face whilst Chelsea will be tested by a well-drilled Wolves team who want to secure their spot in the Europa League with Spurs on their tail.

PREDICTION: Chelsea FC wins

Wolves will visit Stamford Bridge in a bid to shatter Chelsea fans hopes of making next year’s Champions League. Chelsea has it all to play for but so do Wolves as Tottenham Hotspurs are hot on their tail for a place in the Europa League. Chelsea looks vulnerable as they let 5 past them against Liverpool in their previous game and have conceded 10 in their last 5 games. Wolves come into the game with some decent form having won 2 and drawn 1 in their last 3 games¹. Chelsea beat Wolves 5-2 in the return fixture this year indicating that this may be a high scoring game. Chelsea will have the home advantage although Wolves have the 5th best away record in the league. I can see this being a tight contest with plenty of goals between the two teams. At 4/5, Frank Lampard’s men are favorites for this tie. Chelsea has scored first in 7 of the last 8 games at Stamford Bridge. I can see them scoring first and ultimately outscoring Wolves here.

Leicester vs Manchester United

PREDICTION: Manchester United

Ole faces a huge test when he leads his men into the King Power Stadium on the final matchday. Both Solskjaer and Brendan Rodgers are looking to secure Champions League qualification which means there’ll be no room for slip-ups. United come into this game with 11 points from the last 5 games whilst Leicester have only managed 7 in the same amount of games. Manchester United are 5/4 favorites in this fixture, slightly favored by the bookies. Leicester City has a number of critical injuries² that have impacted their recent form including the loss of Ben Chilwell, James Maddison, Ricardo Pereira, and Marc Albrighton. Their breakout defender Caglar Soyunc will miss the game through suspension after receiving a 3-match ban in his last game. Manchester United may hold out on Luke Shaw unless he passes a late fitness test. The last game between these two was decided by a Marcus Rashford penalty early on in the game in what was a tight affair. The last time Leicester beat Manchester United in any competition was 2014. With an abundance of injuries working against them, Leicester will have their work cut out against Manchester United who is scoring goals for fun right now. The Manchester United squad is looking tired following a number of games in quick succession however I think they will do enough to see off Leicester City and secure their Champions League spot.
