The EPL has quickly returned this week with fixtures coming in thick and fast.
In a compact fixture schedule, we’ll have the privilege of watching Premier League teams face off almost everyday this week. If you’ve been stuck in lockdown with no opportunity to spend your money, you may fancy a flutter on a few of the upcoming games to make your midweek more interesting. Here are some of my preferred bets for this week’s round of games.

Tottenham Hotspur vs West Ham
PREDICITON: Harry Kane to Score
Tottenham weren’t at their best against Manchester United in their last game but they still managed a draw against Jose Mourinho’s old team. West Ham were swept away by a convincing Wolves in their first game back which leads me to believe West Ham will struggle to get a result against Spurs on the return fixture. Harry Kane struggled to find his shooting boots against Manchester United and wasn’t given the best of service from an overrun midfield however, I believe the English international will have plenty of opportunities against an inconsistent West Ham defence to get back to his scoring ways.

Manchester Utd vs Sheffield Utd
PREDICTION: Paul Pogba to Score
Manchester United return to Old Trafford in front of an empty crowd to host Sheffield United who will be hoping to take some points from them and push on for continental qualification. Sheffield United will be looking to make amends after being blown away by Newcastle following a decisive sending off early in the game. Manchester Utd will also be looking to record a win after salvaging a point against Spurs in last weeks games. Sheffield Utd have struggled to score in their last two games so I can’t see them doing much damage here. Manchester will most likely control the game from the outset with Sheffield United being limited to chances from set pieces. Paul Pogba is likely to start¹ after coming off the bench in his last game. I would back Pogba to grab a goal in his starting return against Sheffield Utd.
Chelsea vs Manchester City
Going into this match Manchester City have been back to their usual best with back to back wins over Arsenal and Burnley, giving the latter a 5-0 thrashing². With nothing to play for in the league, it looks like City will continue to play without any fear, alleviating the pressure on their players to perform their natural game. Without the added advantage of a home crowd, Chelsea may struggle to fend of Manchester City’s brilliant attack. Whilst Chelsea looked positive against Villa, I believe there is a slim chance that they keep a clean sheet against City, and even a positive result. Manchester City did suffer injuries in their last game with Sergio Aguero hobbling off before half-time, however they have more than sufficient backup in Gabriel Jesus to fill his place. I can’t see anything other than a Manchester City win here despite Chelsea’s resurgence under Frank Lampard. Chelsea may have the added hunger with continental qualification on the line however City are currently playing without fear and will provide too much for Frank Lampard’s team.
