EPL Matchday-35 Games Predictions & Best Odds [11-13 July]

The fixtures are coming thick and fast since the much-anticipated return of the Premier League and this weekend is no different with a tasty selection of combative fixtures ahead including the heated North London Derby between Tottenham Hotspurs and Arsenal.

On the other side of the country we have Premier League champions Liverpool taking on another northern team, Burnley who are looking to secure a Europa League spot for themselves. Here are a few thoughts on these two games for the coming weekend and my betting predictions for both.

This article is my humble opinion, it is not gambling advice.

Liverpool vs. Burnley

PREDICTION: Liverpool wins

Burnley will visit Anfield in a bid to put a dent in Liverpool’s hopes of breaking Man City’s Premier League points record. Both teams are coming into this game with some good form. Liverpool has managed 13 points out of a possible 18 in the last 6 games whilst Burnley has totalled 11. In the return fixture at Turf Moor last August, we saw Liverpool dismantle Burnley in a 3-0 victory where both Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino found themselves on the scoresheet. The last time Burnley recorded a victory against Liverpool was back in 2016 where Jurgen Klopp faced Burnley for the first time. Since then, Liverpool has won 5 and drawn 1 with The Clarets. Burnley currently has a few injuries problems with Ben Mee and Ashley Barnes out of action. Ashley Barnes usually provides issues for Liverpool’s defence but he’s likely to miss this fixture. I can see Liverpool taking home the 3 points here. They looked very good against Brighton and will have the added advantage of playing in their own stadium. Burnley doesn’t score a lot of goals¹ and I can’t see them penetrating Liverpool’s defence with the limited possession they’ll have.

Tottenham Hotspurs vs. Arsenal

PREDICTION: Tottenham Hotspurs

The North London Derby returns to the Premier League in a fixture that often finds a way to create drama and suspense. Arsenal comes into this game with superior form having totalled 13 out of a possible 18 points since the return. On the other hand, Spurs have only accumulated 9 out of 18. If the derby wasn’t enough to motivate both of these sides, they still have a lot to play for as they look to push on for continental qualification. Arsenal will be without Eddie Nketiah who was sent off midweek against Leicester whilst Tottenham will have to do without Eric Dier² who was suspended for an incident where he jumped into the crowd to confront a fan. Tottenham have a relatively strong record at home whereas Arsenal can be quite complacent when playing away from the Emirates. This game is always a high-scoring fixture with the last goalless draw coming back in 2009 (they have since played each other 25 times). The last time Arsenal managed to beat Spurs at their home ground was back in 2014 and I can see Tottenham shutting them out once again. I predict Spurs will come out on top in this game and Harry Kane will score (he has scored in the last 4 North London derby’s).

I get this incredible odd since I participate in the EPL Zero-Margin promotions on Cloudbet. Indeed, for each EPL game, they will offer 1,000 customers odds with zero margins. In other words, Cloudbet gives up its commission.
