Another massive game for both teams at the top end of the EPL, as champions Liverpool look to turn their form around, while Leicester could go six points clear of Liverpool, with Manchester United in their sights in second.

Leicester vs Liverpool – King Power Stadium

It’s been a fantastic season for Brendan Rodgers and his side so far, even though key injuries they’ve managed to stick around with the bigger teams in the league and find themselves in a great position, sitting third after 23 games played. The visit of Liverpool to the King Power Stadium hasn’t always been great for Leicester. In fact, Liverpool has won the last three visits and Leicester hasn’t beaten Liverpool here since 2017 [1].

If there’s ever a good time to play Liverpool however, it would be now. The current champions look to be out of the running for the title this season after their third straight defeat at home, which saw Man City head 10 points clear at the top.

Leicester now has players like Vardy, Soyuncu, and even Pereira who’ve all returned from injury, and should feature here, but one of the unsung heroes for Leicester this season James Justin looks set to miss a long period out as his injury midweek looked scary.

The Foxes should fancy their chances of getting something here and they’ll be confident they can, as they usually perform against big sides without fear with Vardy, Maddison, and Barnes causing problems for any defense this season, and Liverpool likely still to be weakened in that area.

Liverpool is having a tough time of it at the moment, and morale must be low at the club as they were beaten heavily to Man City. The 4-1 scoreline was flattering due to unusual mistakes by goalkeeper Allison, while Klopp was said to be pleased with a lot of the football he saw his side play during the game.

The manager is looking for his side to take the correct mindset when they travel to play Leicester [2]. It’ll be interesting to see what Liverpool does turn up here, despite effectively being out of the title as Man City look unbeatable at the moment.

Klopp is a manager that can fire his team up when needed and they need it now. Key players have been injured for months now, and there’s been no excuse but poor performances from the players on the pitch in recent fixtures.

Changes may need to be made here, with both January central defenders ready to step in as Fabinho and Henderson aren’t natural. It will be a tough task for Liverpool whoever they decide to put in, as Brendan Rodgers always has his team well drilled, but it should be a tasty fixture with two teams going for it.

Prediction: Match bet + Both Teams to Score: Away / Yes

Liverpool’s away form hasn’t been the worst and Leicester’s home form isn’t the best. Leicester is prone to a slip up especially at home as five of their six losses in the league have come at the King Power Stadium.

I can see them scoring, but I feel Liverpool will be right at it for 90 minutes, fighting for everything and it’ll be up to Leicester to match the intensity of the game that Liverpool should bring.

It’s time for the players to show up for Klopp and perform as we all know they can.
